Haemorrhoids – what to do?
Haemorrhoids can be truly uncomfortable and they can cause pain, itching and anal bleeding.
Unfortunately, this still is a tabu subject and many patients only seek professional help as a last resource.
Factors that contribute for the development of haemorrhoids:
Pregnancy, constipation, chronic diarrhoea, obesity, straining while evacuating, bad eating habits.
How can you alleviate your symptoms?
The first step is to change your eating habits and follow a healthy diet, rich in fibres.
Foods like pepper, cabbage, green peas, beans, curry and tomato should be withdrawn from your diet.
Try to avoid alcoholic beverages, fizzy drinks, coffee and black tea.
A «seating bath» to help relieving the pain and to hygiene the area could make a great difference.
